Project comes to life to inspire the new generation of space explorers
Science Days Team during event in São José dos Campos
A light at the end of the tunnel. Waiting months for an event and having the sad news that it was canceled would be devastating, wouldn't it? It was in this context that the Science Days Challenge (SDC) came to life. Science, technology, engineering and mathematics gathered in one place. Due to the current quarantine panorama, Science Days, an event that brings free space education to students of all ages, had to be modified. Thus, through the Science Days Challenge, students and schools participating in the event will have the opportunity to expose their experiments and projects virtually.
The idea is to give voice to creativity. With a free theme within the hard sciences, young people will have the difficult mission of presenting solutions to problems of the community and / or humanity in general. The goal is to inspire and motivate the new generation of future Scientists and space explorers, who will have their projects evaluated by a group of mentors from the aerospace area, from different places around the world.

The event seeks to train millions of children in Brazil and the USA with the skills needed for the job market. “We see that each child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us”, said Jefferson Michaelis, speaking in name of all creators. “We believe in the power of young people”, he complemented. The registration period has started and will remain open until September 20th, this year. The deadline for sending the video is October 10th, 2020.
